Description

Auchentoshan Dark Oak is made with triple distilled single malt Scotch whisky, Heartwood combines the perfect balance of rich whisky. Dark honeycomb colour whisky. Fresh cappuccino onto the nose. A light sweetness develops into a rich, fruity mouth feel. Dark and drying finish with rich fruit lingering. The whisky taste is wonderfully sherried; rich, dark and warming, with hints of the oak itself coming through. The bourbon-cask element of the maturing is pleasantly subtle, compared to typical offerings, serving to add in elements of citrus and vanilla to the palate.
